Market Thoughts....

The SAE Breed Grant program provides students the opportunity to raise a different type of breed or species.  For example, instead of raising Angus we have had students raise British Whites, Charolais, Shorthorns, etc.  When considering to branch into a different breed, bloodline or species; what are some factors to consider? How will you market the animal?  What is your bottom line in your production enterprise?  How will your differentiation affect your ability to sell?  Good Luck!
